Influence of electromagnetic field to the spectra of the brightness of the reflection of visible light from the surface of 2205MFA duplex steel

The investigations conducted earlier showed - the reflection of visible light from the surface of metals and alloys essentially depends on the surface roughness, on the chemical composition of surface layer and crystal structure of the phases, which emerge on it. Under the action of different nature physical fields on the surface layers of the material being investigated they undergo the changes, which directly are manifested in the spectra of the brightness of the reflection of visible light, from the source, which illuminates the surface of sample. These changes can be fixed and measured by the method of the photometric analysis of structural images (PHASI), which makes it possible to register the mentioned spectra before and after of external physical action on the material being investigated, in the digital code and after their introduction into the computer determine changes of the spectral densities of the brightness of reflections in all intervals of intensities. In the present work are given the results of studying the electromagnetic field action of solenoid to the spectra of the duplex steel 2205MFA reflection brightness. The carried out experiments made it possible to establish that: 1) essentially changes the nature of the reflection intensity distribution of light incident to the sample; 2) with an increase in the tension of the magnetic field a change in the intensity of reflection grows, but their nature in the different intervals of spectrum has its specific character; 3) after the curtailment of the electromagnetic field action on the surface of material the structural changes, which appear in a change in its initial spectrum of the reflection brightness, remain. Method PHASI makes it possible to establish zones on the surface of the material, in which these changes are localized. The work is supported by RFBR (RU) 10-08-00092a; 09-08-00563a.
